River Hill, Centennial win HoCo Cross Country titles

River Hill and Centennial won the boys and girls team titles, respectively, at Thursday's Howard County Cross Country Championships, held at Centennial.

Oakland Mills' Britt Lang won the girls individual title in 18:28.14, more than a minute faster than runner-up Alexandra Banham of Mt. Hebron, who ran 19:43.77. Centennial runners finished seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th, led by Devin McIntyre's 20:09.78.

Centennial's girls team finished with 49 points, well ahead of Howard's 72 points.

River Hill’s Trent Rose won the boys individual title with a time of 16:13.94. Oakland Mills’ Joey Navarro was second in 16:25.34, and Howard's Nick Deamer was third in 16:29.15.

River Hill's boys team scored 37 points; second-place Howard had 52 points.
