Girls Varsity Soccer: High Point 3 - Charles Herbert Flowers 2

High Point girls soccer (pictured above) was in a tough spot at halftime of their game against CH Flowers today. CHF were in control of the game, leading 2-0 through goals from Kaiseray Kargbo and Laura Kelly Bryant.

High Point coach Jenna Essenmacher made a tactical switch to try to give her offense more firepower, moving freshman Gabby Larios from stopper in defense to striker. Larios responded with a tremendous performance, netting three goals to lead High Point to a 3-2 win. Sophomore Gabby Molina also had an excellent game for High Point, registering an assist.

With the win, High Point is now 1-0 on the season.

Girls Varsity Soccer: North Harford 3 - St. Paul's School for Girls 0

North Harford cruised to a victory over private school opponent St. Paul's School for Girls today, winning 3-0. The Hawks got two goals from Maria Auth and one from Claire Macatee. Kayli Hollinger chipped in with two assists. Their goalkeepers Mikaela Magness and Natalie Jacobs hardly had any saves to make.

The victory gives North Harford an overall record of 3-0 after a strong opening weekend which saw them beat Walkersville 3-2 in overtime and Harford Tech 3-0.

Cross Country: Boys Fallston 28 - C. Milton Wright 31 - Perryville 73

The Fallston boys cross country team placed four runners in the top six which was enough to edge out C. Milton Wright in today's Harford County meet. Fallston was led by Andrew Parks who finished with a time of 7:51. Eric Baranoski (8:20), Jacob Heiland (8:24) and Saxon Brown (8:29) finished in 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. Mike Foulks of C. Milton Wright had the fastest time at the meet, finishing with a time of 7:47. Lucas Valdes, also of C. Milton Wright, was the team's second best runner, and third overall at the meet, finishing with a 7:55. Perryville was led by Mike Salvatore, who finished seventh at the meet, with a time of 8:35.

Cross Country: Girls C. Milton Wright 15 - Fallston 47 - Perryville 74

C. Milton Wright placed all five runners in the top 5 to clinch first place. Pam Koga placed first with a time of 9:54. Jessica Rogers (9:54.10), Courtney Koga (10:14), Shannon LaMastra (10:26) and Maggie Roszko (10:29) rounded out the top 5. Fallston's Julianna Stevens was the first non CMW runner to finish, finishing with a time of 10:36. Perryville's top runner was Aleah Losoya, who was timed at 10:52.
