Bohemia Manor Boys, Rising Sun Girls Win Cecil County Cross Country Invitational
The boys race was won by Bohemia Manor, who scored a 23. Elkton, who came in second, finished with a 70.
The top three runners in the race all came from Bohemia Manor. Grant Franceschina finished first with a time of 17:18.20, Zachary Laird got second with a 17:38.04 and Alex Longeway rounded out the top three by running the race in 17:47.53. Nathan Galloway from North East (17:58.25) and Matt Salvatore from Perryville (18:03.13) made up the rest of the top five. Evan Shrewsbury was Elkton's fastest runner, finishing eighth and completing the race in 18:45.17.
The girls side was a much tighter team race for the top spot between Rising Sun and Bohemia Manor. Rising Sun finished first with a score of 36, while Bohemia Manor got a 37.
Considering how tight the race ended up being, it should come as no surprise that the top five was comprised of runners from Rising Sun and Bohemia Manor. Bohemia Manor's Jamie Rhudy and Tara McDonald finished third and fifth with times of 21:43.46 and 22:07.17, while Rising Sun's Emma Wheeler got fourth with a 22:03.71.
