Tristan Easton of Meade Boys Basketball Named US Army/County Sports Zone Impact Player of the Month

Tristan Easton, a senior from the Meade High School boys basketball team in Anne Arundel County, has been named the County Sports Zone/US Army Impact Player of the Month!

Easton was nominated for this award by Meade's head coach, Pete Corriero.

"Tristan deserves this award for constantly demonstrating leadership qualities and maturity necessary to not only be successful in basketball, but in life," Corriero wrote in his nomination.

Easton is a four year member of the varsity Mustangs team, joining the team as a freshman and immediately becoming a starter. As time went on, Easton improved his leadership skills and became a captain for the Mustangs.

During his junior year, he played a big role in Meade winning the 2015 MPSSAA 4A state championship. It was the first basketball state championship won by an Anne Arundel County school in 25 years.

For his efforts, Easton was named Anne Arundel County Player of the Year, and was named to numerous different all-star teams by newspaper publications.

Easton continued to thrive as a senior, breaking Meade's all time scoring record, as well as most three point field goals made. Meade had another strong season this year, making a return trip to the MPSSAA 4A state championship, where the Mustangs lost to Eleanor Roosevelt from Prince George's County.

Easton plans to play basketball at the collegiate level next year, having already received full athletic scholarship offers from Bowie State University and American International College.

County Sports Zone would like to thank the U.S. Army for sponsoring the Impact Player of the Month Award.
