Washington Post Make All-Met Selections
The Washington Post announced their spring selections for their All-Met teams. The teams featured numerous athletes from CSZ's jurisdictions.
For every sport, the Post selects one player to be their player of the year and have a first team selection. In some cases, they include a second team and an honorable mention distinction as well.
Nicole Stockinger of Sherwood got selected as the player of the year for softball. There were multiple first team selections from CSZ's jurisdictions, including Truman Thomas from Southern-AA baseball, Scott Bruner from Howard boys lacrosse, Dennis Wang from Poolesville tennis, Bailey Boyd from Blake softball and Toni Williams from Sherwood gymnastics. A few coaches were selected as the Coach of the Year in their sport as well, including Frank Hood from Southern-AA baseball and Jimmy Creighton from Howard boys lacrosse.
