Games to Keep an Eye on This Weekend
Here's a list of a few big games scheduled to happen this weekend (if the weather cooperates):
Boys Lacrosse: Annapolis vs. Chesapeake-AA- Two of the top teams in Anne Arundel County square off in this one tonight at 7 PM. Annapolis has won eight straight, while Chesapeake has won five of its last seven contests. Annapolis won last year's contest 11-7.
Girls Lacrosse: McDonogh School vs. Marriotts Ridge- Marriotts Ridge from Howard County will host IAAM powerhouse McDonogh this Saturday at 9:30 AM. The Mustangs are undefeated this season at 10-0, and won an MPSSAA state championship in 2014. McDonogh is considered by many to be the best team in country, and has not lost a game since April of 2009.
Baseball: Gaithersburg vs. Sherwood- This is a match up of two undefeated Montgomery County powerhouses. Gaithersburg is the reigning MPSSAA 4A state champs, while Sherwood reached the 4A state championship game as recently as 2014.
Softball: Severna Park vs. Northeast- Another big Anne Arundel County match up happening on Saturday, Severna Park and Northeast both hold 11-2. Both teams also have not lost since April 11, a win streak that spans six games for both teams. Severna Park won the teams' first encounter this season 10-9.
